A member of the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront Banquets team, the Banquet Captain plays a key role in consistently providing an engaging level of warm and genuine service to our guests. Reporting directly to the Banquets management team, this role assists in leading the Banquets team to perform their assigned tasks to the highest professional standards and ensure efficient operations of the Banquets Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide the Banquets team with guidance, support, and lead by example.
  • Maintain heart of house areas for proper supplies, organization and cleanliness.
  • Liaise with guests on special arrangements and requests.
  • Liaise with management team on any issues pertaining to department; effectively communicating through daily log reports.

This role will be based mainly our Vancouver property, but some travel may be required to the other properties. As a member of Pinnacle Hotel’s centralized RM team, you will be a part of a cohesive team responsible for maximizing the company’s top & bottom-line financial performance. This role will provide opportunity to develop skills in the discipline of Revenue Strategy and to grow within our organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate preparation of daily, weekly, & monthly reporting
  • Perform audits of inventory, overbooking and hotel content across all distribution systems
  • Assist with rate parity management throughout our distribution channels
  • Assist in managing group, crew and wholesaler blocks
  • Responsible for distribution channel set up and maintenance such as rate loading, promotion set up, and onboarding new distribution partners
  • Assist in the creation of new reports/dashboards to gain new insights and ways to utilize our data
  • Support the centralized revenue management team in creating positive and productive vendor relationships
  • Empowered as required to meet and/or exceed the expectations of internal and external guest
  • Complete short-term operational forecasts
  • Support the revenue management team in meeting or exceeding key performance indicators

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2- or 4-year degree or diploma in a related field is an asset
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (I.E. Opera PMS, Maestro PMS) in a Front Office or Reservations capacity an asset but not required
  • Experience with the following systems (or similar) would be an asset but not mandatory: IDeaS RMS, Passkey, Synxis CRS, CoStar (STR).
  • Organized, detail oriented and self motivated. Able to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to gather, analyze and communicate financial & numerical information
  • Able to adapt to change and work collaboratively with fellow colleagues
  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel data analysis functionality (bonus points for Regression Analysis)
  • Understanding of general hotel operations and revenue management philosophy

Reservations Agent

As a valuable member of the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront Vancouver, the Reservations Sales Coordinator works closely with all hotel departments in an accurate and efficient manner, while delivering authentic and memorable experiences to our guests. Reporting directly to the Reservation & Revenue Manager and Regional Director of Revenue, the Reservations Sales Coordinator handles all hotel reservations-related services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer reservation enquiries in a prompt and professional manner, identify guest needs and proactively make recommendations.
  • Optimize average daily rates through effective upselling techniques.
  • Ensure details are correctly entered into reservation systems.
  • Update reservation traces, enter rooming lists, run daily reports, and set up billing details.
