The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is looking for our next great colleague to take on the role of Room Attendant. A member of the Housekeeping team, you are incredibly well-organized, detail-oriented, and guest-focused. You have a knack for cleaning guest rooms to the highest possible standards, reporting maintenance deficiencies to ensure perfection, handling guest requests without hesitation, and ensuring the complete confidentiality and security of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms and making beds in accordance with established standards and procedures; replacing all linens as required.
  • Removing trash, dirty linen and room service items.
  • Dusting and polishing furniture.
  • Vacuuming carpets in guest rooms and hallway.
  • Inspecting the condition of all furniture for tears, rips, and stains; reporting any damage for immediate repair.
  • Recording all guest requests (special requests, daily special cleaning times, extra towels and/or linens, etc.) for future reference
  • Indicating all Do Not Disturb or refused service requests.
  • Exhibiting a professional, respectful, and genuinely helpful demeanor in all interactions with guests and fellow employees.
  • Filling the carts with supplies and transporting them to their assigned areas. Performing other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Fluent English language skills; both written and verbal; excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions.
  • A team player with proven success in relationship building.
  • Ability to make beds, dust, clean bathrooms and vacuum within set timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining a keen sense of urgency always.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds) without assistance.
  • Capable of frequent bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity within an upscale establishment considered an asset.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a hotel environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Already possess the necessary documentation to work legally in Canada.

Senior Accountant (Pinnacle International Head-Office)

We are looking for an intermediate accountant to join our team at Pinnacle International. This position will be involved in the financial operations and month end process for our hotels and restaurants. Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter sales, payroll, and general journals
  • Coordinate the month-end cheque runs
  • Prepare the monthly profit and loss statements
  • Enter bi-monthly payroll data in a timely manner with accuracy
  • Prepare monthly strata bank reconciliations and financials
  • Prepare strata year-end working files and assist with strata related correspondence
  • Assist the junior accountant with entering and reviewing invoices
  • Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Complete GST, PST, and WCB returns within due dates
  • Audit the inventory stocktake at the properties
  • Assist in the year-end auditing process
  • Ensure adherence to policies and the system of internal controls

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an accounting role within a professional organization
  • Experience with multiple accounting systems (SAGE 300 or Yardi) is an asset
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation

Switchboard Operator - PBX

The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is looking for our next great colleague to take on the role of Switchboard Operator. A member of the Front Office team, you are guest-focused, enthusiastic, and passionate about delivering outstanding guest service. You handle all incoming calls in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner and play a crucial role in assisting with emergencies (fire, medical, power/system failure) by contacting designated personnel for immediate assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Routing callers to requested guest or hotel personnel and accommodating all requests swiftly.
  • Following up with guests to ensure requests have been met to their complete satisfaction.
  • Providing callers with accurate information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Documenting all guest complaints and notifying designated department personnel for full resolution.
  • Taking orders for In-Room Dining requests and forwarding all orders to the In-Room Dining Department.
  • Taking Rooms Reservations and responding to all reservation-related inquiries. .
  • Accepting, recording, and delivering wake-up calls.
  • Provide support Front Desk as needed. Flexibility to cross train in other Front Office classifications to support team, e.g. night audit.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Proficient working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
  • Experience working with Opera Property Management System (or other hotel Property Management System) an asset.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Clear, precise, professional and genuine telephone manner.
