Qualifications & Experience:

Assistant Front Office Manager

The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is searching for our next dynamic leader to take on the role of Assistant Front Office Manager! The Assistant Front Office Manager works three shifts per week fulfilling the Manager on Duty role and two shifts weekly fulfilling the Night Manager role. The Assistant Front Office Manager will also be responsible for covering the Night Manager’s vacation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating all aspects of the Front Office while serving as Manager on Duty to ensure a smooth operation and the highest possible level of service
  • Prepare for and execute the end of day process for the Front Office and F&B outlets of the hotel, ensuring all systems are restored daily
  • Ensuring safety and security of all guests and staff on a daily basis
  • Providing a high level of customer service and maintaining a high profile in the day to day front office operations
  • Handling any guest complaints or contentious issues that cannot be settled directly by team members and provides a fast and effective solution
  • Ensuring team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area
  • Coordinating the scheduling of the Front Office department & ensures accurate completion of the departmental payroll

  • Understanding of all areas and departments of the hotel and the ability to assist when called upon.
  • Training, Coaching, and performance management of Front Office staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Having a good knowledge of all systems and standard operating procedures of front office
  • Ensuring all front office procedures are consistently followed and recognizing when procedures need amendment
  • Maintaining an inventory of all Front Office Related supplies
  • Championing the Front Office upsell program and other related revenue generation programs
  • Attending hotel training programs as needed
  • Developing close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments, achieving success through the collective knowledge
  • Ensuring that all Health & Safety standards are met, procedures followed, and that colleagues have the correct knowledge and tools to work safely

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years Front Office experience
  • Minimum of 1 year management experience in a hospitality environment
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office applications
  • Proficiency in Opera PMS system strongly preferred
  • Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field considered an asset
