Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing food items according to recipes and quality standards, including special meals and/or substitute items.

  • Inspecting the condition of all furniture for tears, rips, and stains; reporting any damage for immediate repair.
  • Recording all guest requests (special requests, daily special cleaning times, extra towels and/or linens, etc.) for future reference
  • Disturb or refused service requests.
  • Exhibiting a professional, respectful, and genuinely helpful demeanor in all interactions with guests and fellow employees.
  • Filling the carts with supplies and transporting them to their assigned areas. Performing other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Fluent English language skills; both written and verbal; excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions.
  • A team player with proven success in relationship building.
  • Ability to make beds, dust, clean bathrooms and vacuum within set timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining a keen sense of urgency always.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds) without assistance.
  • Capable of frequent bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity within an upscale establishment considered an asset.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a hotel environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is looking for our next great colleague to take on the role of Switchboard Operator. A member of the Front Office team, you are guest-focused, enthusiastic, and passionate about delivering outstanding guest service. You handle all incoming calls in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner and play an crucial role in assisting with emergencies (fire, medical, power/system failure) by contacting designated personnel for immediate assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns in a sincere and professional manner.
  • Routing callers to requested guest or hotel personnel and accommodating all requests swiftly and graciously.
  • Following up with guests to ensure requests have been met to their complete satisfaction.
  • Providing callers with accurate information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Documenting all guest complaints and notifying designated department personnel for full resolution.
  • Taking orders for In-Room Dining requests and forwarding all orders to the In-Room Dining Department.
  • Taking Rooms Reservations and responding to all reservation-related inquiries. .
  • Accepting, recording, and delivering wake-up calls.
  • Performing other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Proficient working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
  • Experience working with Opera Property Management System (or other hotel Property Management System) an asset.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Clear, precise, professional and genuine telephone manner.
  • A high level of responsibility and exceptional organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to effectively multitask, solve problems and make decisions in a personable and confident manner.
