Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing optimum guest service.

  • Replenishing buffet items to ensure consistency in presentation.
  • Monitoring tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.
  • Clearing food and drinks from tables.
  • Cleaning up after events.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Serving It Right certification.
  • Food Safe Level 1 considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift trays that may weigh up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds).
  • Previous food service experience in an upscale establishment is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash all pots, bowls and utensils, air dried and return to their appropriate storage areas
  • Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.
  • Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
  • Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes.
  • Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • empty garbage containers at 75% capacity and reline the containers
  • ensure all broken glass and china is swept up immediately and placed in breakage pails
  • ensure that floors are moped and swept on an on-going basis throughout the shift
  • Remove racks and all other removable parts from ovens and clean inside and out
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.
