Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating telephone switchboard station in order to answer telephone calls.
  • Processing all guest calls, requests or concern in professional manner
  • Contacting appropriate individual or department
  • (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping, Engineer), and follow up
  • with guest to ensure their request has been met to their satisfaction
  • Taking order for In-Room Dining request and communicating it with In-Room
  • Taking Rooms Reservation
  • Assisting guests with accessing the internet.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Proficient working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
  • Experience working with Opera property management system (or other hotel PMS) an asset
  • Fluent English language skills; both written and verbal.
  • Clear, precise, professional and helpful telephone manner.
  • A high level of responsibility and commitment with excellent organizational skills.
  • A team player with proven success in relationship building.
  • Proven ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions in a personable and self-confident manner.
  • Previous Switchboard or Front Desk experience considered an asset.
  • Able to pick up the shift as early as 5:30 am or late until 12:30 am.

2 Dishwashers

The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is looking for our next great colleague to take on the role of Dishwasher with our Culinary Brigade. Are you organized, a go getter, guest focused? Are you confident to operate and maintain equipment and tools? If so, Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is the place you want to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash all pots, bowls and utensils, air dried and return to their appropriate storage areas
  • Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.
  • Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
  • Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes.
  • Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • empty garbage containers at 75% capacity and reline the containers
  • ensure all broken glass and china is swept up immediately and placed in breakage pails
  • ensure that floors are moped and swept on an on-going basis throughout the shift
  • Remove racks and all other removable parts from ovens and clean inside and out
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Fluent English language skills; both written and verbal
  • Food Safe certification required
  • A team player with proven success in relationship building
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 22.5 kilograms (50 pounds) without assistance.
  • Capable of frequent bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Previous experienced as dishwasher in an upscale hotel or restaurant is considered an asset.
  • Be able to work late hours and including graveyard shifts
